Meet The Owners
Val Hyde comes from a sewing & weaving background with over 30 years of experience in the rug business, retail, and cleaning. Val spent 10 years with Atiyeh Bros, and the last 25 as owner of Renaissance Rug Cleaning. Val is in-charge of Renaissance day to day activity repair and restoration.
Did we mention that Randy and Val met while working at Atiyeh Bros. Both bonded over their love of weaving and fiber arts. Anyway, Randy left Atiyeh's in 1996 to work with tribal expert and rug dealer James Opie, before opening Renaissace in 1999. Over the years, Randy has worked and traveled to Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, and Nepal and is two-term past President of ARCS (Association of Rug Care Specialists)
